Sarah and I went down to Connecticut over Juneteenth weekend to see the Studio 80 Sculpture Grounds and mostly to relax. We stayed at a very 70s cabin-aesthetic place by a lake. It was nice, we saw a bald eagle while swimming, saw some red-winged blackbirds including one from a really nice public-access overlook of a big marsh surrounded by a fancy housing development. Got some ice cream from a random ice cream stand. Finished The House in the Cerulean Sea, which I'd heartily recommend.

This weekend featured heavily clearing stuff out of the attic in preparation for upgrading our insulation in relation to getting a heat pump system installed to replace our old oil burner. Not the most fun way to spend a weekend, but we did need to sort through that stuff anyways.

Mulberry harvest season is always nice, we've got a good crop this year. We also planted some more elderberry plants, which are doing nicely. We also saw a monarch caterpillar on our milkweed today, which was super cool!

All in all, everything is a lot in ways that are probably pretty obvious, but yeah.

(Oh, going back a bit further, might as well mention that my warrant article to increase the FAR maximums for mixed-use buildings in the business districts in Arlington passed solidly in Town Meeting, which is great. You can watch my presentation on it if you want to know more about what that means.)

(Going even further back, mumble mumble
Dreampunk.)
