I want to mumble something about games where the rules and/or the players can act on the rules. This is an obvious next step from declarations, where players can use mechanics to cause things to be canonical in-game. Let the players use mechanics to act on the mechanics/rules themselves. This train of thought is directly initiated by Wisher, Theurgist, Fatalist, which is unwinnable if you don't dispute the rules and has a rule for changing who's the GM. Other influences: Mao, The Cafe Diner (which I'm pretty sure is dead, though I don't see it in the archive), kid-game rules, and some software license that thinks it's clever.

I feel like if I was actually going to have canonical rules for Dreamspace, they'd want to do something like this, but I'd also want to have something I could convince people to play. So probably a bit less metaphysically abstract than WTF.
