Dec. 2nd, 2007

Before the past few weeks, I'm not sure I'd ever had to deal with a fire alarm in a non-school-related setting. Then, over Thanksgiving, we were eating at that Brazilian place in Shaker Square and the fire alarm went off. Everyone ignored it, and it stopped after a few minutes. Probably just smoke in the kitchen or something.

Then today, I was lunching at the Porter Exchange, and the alarm went off. Initially people mostly ignored it, but eventually the restaurant staff told us that we should probably leave, and we stood outside for half an hour. I think it was actually something, because they had several fire trucks and when they let us back in the fitness club area was roped off and rather damp.

A sign of the end times? Probably not.
