From what I can tell you get along with Zan far, far better than I have ever gotten along with either of my brothers, and as someone who had to wait until high school to find surrogate big brother types, I'd say that sometimes just having someone on your side to go to when you need to talk makes all the difference. She's a smart kid and she's got good people looking out for her. She'll be okay.
